Extra Curricular Activities
Timeline

.
Phoenix (TU/Ecomotive)
As part of the exterior design team, I learned how to collaborate within a large multidisciplinary team while contributing to a high-quality, real-world product. I developed my design and 3D modeling skills, balanced aesthetics with feasibility, and gained experience working on a long-term project with real impact. The car was featured on Dutch and international news.

.

ID Business Design Challenge
I won the TU/e | KNVB circular design business design challenge! Developing an innovative solution for the textile waste generated by the football industry. Introducing the idea of cushion seat covers. I learned the importance of a good pitch in projects.
.
IDefine Competition
I took part in the IDefine design competition hosted by Lucid. More specifically, the Product & Health Design challenge. Together with my group, we created Myocura. Delivering high-quality renders to show the concept, achieving a runner-up finish.

ID Career Committee (s.v.i.d. Lucid)
As chairman of this committee, I gained many skills I did not even know about prior to this. Team management, boosting enthusiasm, and more. I also learned to plan meetings professionally by structuring them. This was a great opportunity for me to build on my leadership skills.
Medtronic & MUMC+ Sprintday
During this sprint day, I got valuable experience in designing biomedical devices, and considerations that have to be made. These ranged from legal regulations to hospital regulations. I also got the chance to pitch my idea to a reasonably large audience including people in top positions.
This project was especially important to me as it aligns perfectly with my vision and the future career path that I want to follow.

Design Sprints (External)
I completed fourteen unique design sprints across companies like Ministrie van Defensie (NATO), Rabobank, KPN, and Politie. With topics such as military logistics and AI‑driven optimization, to chemical manufacturing and police cybercrime reporting. Each sprint sharpened my Business & Entrepreneurship skills through budget and market analysis, and enhanced my Technology & Realization and Creativity & Aesthetics via rapid product or UI mockups. I also applied Math, Data & Computing for efficiency models and integrated User & Society insights from stakeholder interviews. This experience with varying real‑world challenges made me faster and more adept at translating client needs into high‑quality solutions.
